UPCOMING EVENTS

The school will be closed from Monday 14th of April to Friday 25th of April for the Easter Holidays.

The Health Promoting Schools Team will be participating in the 'Skip Around Europe Challenge' during the week of the 28th of April while also participating in the Food Dudes Healthy Eating Programme.

Food Dudes will be providing free fruit and vegetables to all the children during the week of the 28th of April and the school will receive an award for taking part in this programme for the past three years on the 6th of May. Well done to all the children for trying out the fruit and vegetables.

Music Generation will take place every Monday at the school with Aishling teaching the 5th and 6th Class pupils how to play the tin whistle.

The junior infants to second class pupils will participate in five weeks of zumba on a Tuesday after the Easter holidays.

The third to sixth class pupils will participate in an 8 week basketball coaching programme with Riccardo starting after Easter on a Thursday for the month of May and on a Tuesday for the month of June.

On Thursday 1st of May we will be delighted to welcome Rev. Bishop Martin Hayes to our school to visit the sixth class pupils, two days before they receive the Sacrament of Confirmation. This will be the first visit from our Bishop and Patron of our school to St. Brigid's National School Killygarry

The sixth class pupils will receive the Sacrament of Confirmation on Saturday 3rd of May at 2:30pm in the Cathedral of St. Patrick and St. Felim. We wish all our pupils a lovely day with their families.

Killygarry N.S. will receive an award for participation in the Food Dudes Programme from when it was first implemented many years ago. The Award Ceremony will take place in the Hotel Kilmore.

The Music on Wheels band will visit our school on Friday 9th of May as part of the Music Generation. Hopefully we will get a good day of weather and we can have our concert outdoors.

First Holy Communion will take place in the Cathedral of St. Patrick and St. Felim on Saturday 10th of May at 2pm. We wish all our pupils and their families a wonderful day.

The school boys team will be playing in a blitz in the Division 2 Cumann na mBunscol league on Monday 12th of May. They will be playing The Vale N.S., Shercock N.S., Killinkere N.S. and Muff N.S on the 3G and Training Pitch at Breffni Park.

The fourth class boys will participate in a 7 aside Gaelic Football Blitz on the 3G pitch on Tuesday 13th of May, organised by the TY students in Breifne College as part of their Future Leaders TY Programme.

The Parents Association will be holding their Cash for Clobber collection at the school. Clothes will be collected on Tuesday 13th of May.
