We had a really interesting visit from Dave, an archaeologist who brought in lots of Viking artefacts. We saw swords, knives and slave manacles.
He had a mannequin of a woman in typical Viking dress. it had a turtle brooch and a leather pouch to carry things. Combs were made from horn from cattle.
Many Vikings worshipped the Norse god Odin and the number 9 was considered sacred as was the colour blue.
Clothes were made from linen and wool and shoes from leather.
